Bob Hudek works with social change organizations to provide strategy and insight gained from over 33 years experience in the field.
Executive Coaching Bob is currently coaching executive directors for a wide range of national and state level organizations, providing a unique blend of personal leadership development and overall organizational diagnosis and development.
Strategic and Campaign Planning Bob combines insightful facilitation with his years of designing and running campaigns to help bring out the best thinking in your organization He has been a consultant and strategist to over forty political campaigns, run successful national issue campaigns including the passage of the Right to Know toxics legislation. Clients include Health Care for America Now, Clean Water Action (national and state affiliates) and Smokefree Wisconsin.
Training As a training consultant Bob has developed and conducted a series of training programs for unions and citizen organizations on effective organizing, building grass roots power, leadership development and coalition-building. He created a new national training program for the Direct Care Alliance; He designed training for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and conducted the training for consumer leaders in 18 states. He also developed a 3 part citizen activist training program for the Wisconsin AFL-CIO, developed a political training program for AFSCME, trained teachers as part of a WEAC (teacher’s union) leadership development program, trained nurses and seniors to speak on health related issues, and has helped develop a new training curriculum on issue framing and worldview analysis for citizen organizations.
Experience As Co-director and Executive director of Citizen Action of Wisconsin Bob helped turn around a nearly dead organization, and through coalition building and grass roots organizing, built a national model for state based organizations. He was Executive Director of the Coalition for Consumer Rights in Chicago, Illinois. Before that, Bob served as national field director of Citizen Action and the Citizen/Labor Energy Coalition, responsible for building state coalitions around the country. Bob is past president of the Midwest States Center, executive committee member and fundraising chair for USAction, and past Board Chair of the Progressive Action Network.
